Start Training Dementia and (N)u

Dementia is more than just forgetting. For family caregivers, often children or partners, it can be a great challenge to cope daily with the changes brought on by dementia. To support in this, Surplus the program Dementia and (N)u to.

At six weekly meetings, with a district nurse present each time, participants cover topics such as: understanding changing behavior and perceptions, coping with care, communication, control issues, safety and self-care. There is also a return meeting to share experiences and discuss questions. The psychoeducation package is an initiative of Into D'mentia, Dementia Expertise Center Flanders and Alzheimer's League Flanders.

The course is complete free for informal caregivers from the municipality of Moerdijk. The next group starts on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Lindonk 153 in Zevenbergen. The group is now full, but interested parties can sign up for future groups.
