Alzheimer's Café, Theme: Behavioral change in dementia

The Alzheimer Café is there for everyone dealing with dementia: people with dementia themselves, their caregivers, volunteers and anyone interested in this topic. During the meetings we share information, experiences and practical insights in an approachable way.

The theme of this meeting is ‘Behavior change in dementia’.
Behavioral changes are common in people with dementia. Examples include agitation, suspiciousness, anger, apathy or changes in day and night rhythms. These behaviors can be profound, both for the person with dementia and their loved ones.
During this meeting we will discuss the causes of this behavior and how you can better deal with it. There is room for explanation, recognition, sharing experiences and practical tips for the home situation.
