Surplus offers various forms of informal care support. In addition to coaching, information and advice, informal caregivers can participate in various workshops, courses and other activities, for example. There are also volunteer buddies who can provide support. Alzheimer's Café Moerdijk
The Alzheimer Café in the municipality of Moerdijk is there for people with a form of dementia and their loved ones. A nice meeting place for tips and information about (coping with) dementia. There are answers to questions, experiences can be exchanged with fellow sufferers and there is room for social contact. One of the participants: “The knowledge I gained at the Alzheimer Café made me stronger in guiding and caring for my mother. I still go to the Alzheimer's Café to share my knowledge with others.”
