On June 21, 2023, the new website Mantelzorg Moerdijk was launched by Alderman Pauline Joosten. It was a memorable moment for the Municipality of Moerdijk and an important milestone in the support of informal caregivers.
During the launch, Alderman Joosten expressed her appreciation to all informal caregivers and informal care supporters: “The renewed website mantelzorgmoerdijk.nl is easily accessible, clear, friendly; in short, the website for everyone who ‘informs’ in Moerdijk. It contains useful information with tailored advice and directions to the support you can use! You do not have to do it alone. We are there for you. Above all, make use of it.”
“Anything for a smile” says an attending family caregiver. “For me, it's the most normal thing in the world to help family members, but it's also hard sometimes. That's why it's nice that there are activities organized where you can participate. Just that little diversion. Meeting with other family caregivers to talk about it is very pleasant.”
Support and advice
The website Mantelzorg Moerdijk offers support and advice for all informal caregivers, both young informal caregivers and working informal caregivers. The goal is to support informal caregivers through information and practical tips, so that they can better combine care with work, study, their own family and social life.
Mantel Care Appreciation
On the website, all information is conveniently listed. Here caregivers can find information on topics such as dementia, buddy help. It is also possible to apply for the volunteer appreciation through the website and there are several activities planned in which volunteer caregivers can participate. In September we will go “On tour” to all places within the municipality with a coffee moment.
